Article 8:The Impact of Training and Development on Employee Performance Appraisal
The most significant aspect of human
resource management, and the area that is growing the fastest, is
training. Training that is referred to as a program of nutrition and
exercise to improve the efficiency of the personnel, The growth of an
employee's cognitive and psychomotor capabilities is essential for
firms in order to boost productivity. (Ezeani & Oladele,
2013).
Furthermore, one of the most crucial
organizational dynamics is manpower training and development. It
serves as the turning point for how an organization controls its
survival. One of the most popular methods to boost individual
productivity and educate staff of organizational goals is through the
training process. (Ezeuwa,, 2009).
Additionally,
human labor serves as the basis for all resources and is a necessary
instrument for converting other resources into ones that the human
race can utilize and earnings from. Therefore, evaluating how
successfully we cultivate and use human resources skills will
determine how much we can achieve as a country. Every human
institution depends around its human resources. Manpower is still
highly important even in wealthy and industrialized nations where the
use of machines and technology is at an advanced degree. (Comma,
2008).
In furthermore, education is the key to uncovering
potential opportunities for growth and development for obtaining a
competitive edge. In this scenario, organizations train and develop
their employees to the utmost extent possible in order to boost their
effectiveness. (Devi & Shaik, 2012).
The
objective of development and training
Improving
organizational and personnel capacities is the objective of training
and management development programs. When an employee's performance
drops low of their possibility, there could be a requirement for
training. (or group of employees),for the purpose to determine
whether such a gap necessitates a skill assessment. Success in
leadership development demands training. Training is essential for
the growth of leaders. The objective of training and development is
to enhance the skills of employees. These are the advantages that
training and development are intended to bring. These customary or
traditional trainings might be formal or unauthorized. (Anikel and
Ekwe, 2014).
Employee advantages of development and training
Providing
people of an organization knowledge via training can boost their
effectiveness and production. (Leard, 2010). Since they have valued
employees, firms can function more effectively because of training.
In addition, training is required for developing new leaders. (Noe,
2002). Conducting training activities has multiple benefits for
organizations and for individuals. (McNamara, 2010). It also helps
eliminate fear in attempting new tasks
In the end
but not least, it is undeniable that investing in effective
instruction is an investment in an organization's people resources,
both in the near and long term. However, firms must manage training
programs more effectively in order to maximize their return on
investment. Merely investing funds into training is not sufficient.
Every training and development program's primary objective is to
enhance the value of its human resources. Courses for training and
development that don't bring value ought to be discontinued. Because
staff training is considered as a tool or means for staff growth
rather than from a holistic perspective as a tool for staff
development, the issue of staff training and development is addressed
lightly and ignored, maintenance for greater performance and
retention (Raja Abdul Ghafoor Khan, 2011).
In conclusion, in my scenario, I work for one of the leading rubber tyer manufacturing company, we maintain an annual employee training schedule to cover all segment of departments and selected employees throughout the year, and also an evaluation program has to be done after two weeks of getting complete the training by the immediate supervisor of the particular employee. Then, the participants have to be categorized according to their performance with respect to the particular training (ISO 22000:2018 Manual).
